Discover Canine Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy for small animals is rapidly growing, as both vets and owners begin to realise the benefits of physiotherapy for musculoskeletal, neurological and age related changes in pets.

Canine physiotherapy can help to:

  • Aid recovery from injury
  • Aid recovery following surgery
  • Reduce pain
  • Improve mobility
  • Improve strength
  • Improve performance
  • Enhance quality of life in degenerative conditions such as arthritis - slowing degeneration and treating compensatory muscle spasm

Treatments offered at Discover Physiotherapy include:

  • Electrotherapy (ultrasound, neuromuscular electrical stimulation)
  • Soft tissue massage
  • Myofascial techniques
  • Joint mobilisations
  • Splinting
  • Individualised exercises programmes

Cost of canine physiotherapy is £60 per session and must be paid on the day of the appointment.  A small travel fee may be added depending on location.
At each session an assessment of your dog will be carried out, treatment given and an ongoing exercises programme devised as appropriate for each case.
